Adobe Labs today released public betas for the next version of Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Soundbooth apps, which are all part of their forthcoming Creative Suite product. The betas are available to anyone, but only those with CS3 licenses can request activation codes that last until the release of CS4 instead of just two days after the first launch.
Dreamweaver received a few of noteworthy updates, including a change to the WebKit rendering engine for previewing and live editing as well as Ajax and JavaScript code hinting and Adobe AIR authoring support. Fireworks users will notice, among other things, a re-vamped to look and feel plus a new feature to export design comps as high-fidelity, interactive, and secure PDF documents.
As for Adobe's professional audio creation and editing application, Soundbooth, the new beta brings multiple track support, automatic volume matching, speech to text transcription, and a new file format that supports nondestructive audio editing. There's currently no release date for CS4 - nor public trials of other key programs in the suite such as Photoshop and Illustrator - but in the meantime you can get the three available betas at the Adobe Labs website.
