Asus reveals Wii-like motion controller
With Computex 2008 just around the corner, Asus’ Eee range of elfin laptops and its forthcoming low-priced desktop are all the talk right now, but it looks like the company may also bring an unannounced new toy out to play next week.
Dubbed the Eee Stick, this motion-sensing device seems to have taken more than a little pinch of design inspiration from Nintendo’s Wii nunchuck controller. Details are currently a little scarce, though it is thought that the device will bring motion-controlled games to PCs and can be used as a 3D mouse as well. It’s not yet known when Asus’ wireless controllers will be commercially available, or even if this is just developer’s prototype, but we’ll probably hear more in the coming days.
