AMD not selling dual-core Phenoms?
Some bad news were quietly leaked today at Computex, it seems, for AMD. According to recent reports, the dual-core Phenom is facing issues and has been delayed. On top of the dual-core Phenoms not being demoed, it seems that no 45nm parts are either, leading to speculation as to what exactly is the holdup on AMD's end. Supply shortage? Fabrication issues? Regardless of the issue, it seems they have switched all focus to triple- and quad- core CPUs, and that the dual-cores will only exist in the X2 line rather than the Phenom line.
It makes sense from some points of view, but it would be nice to get an official word from AMD rather than just speculation based upon their actions.
