OpenSuse 11.0 released
OpenSuse is getting a refresh today, with version 11.0 of the suite now being available for download. The new release updates many of the stock software packages included in the distro, such as OpenOffice 2.4. OpenSuse is one of several Linux distributions that are backed by big industry players, in this case with Novell and AMD sponsoring the project. Novell acquired SUSE Linux in 2004, and about a year later is when the first “stable” release of OpenSuse was issued.
You can download OpenSuse from their site. The installation DVD is about 4.3GB in size.
