Now that Mozilla has set a Guinness World Record with Firefox 3 for the most software downloads in a single day, Nvidia is looking to set a world record of its own. During this year’s Nvision event to take place in August, the company will attempt to “make history” with the world’s longest non-stop LAN party.

To set the record a team of gamers will have to play video games for 36 hours straight, with a break of 10 minutes for every hour played. If the record is achieved, the participating team members will receive numerous prizes including custom gear and gift cards.
