Here’s an interesting statistic for you: each employee at Nintendo is set to generate the company $1.6 million in profit this year. The Financial Times has looked at the financials of some of the world's top-earning companies and worked out how much cash each generates per employee, with Goldman Sachs coming in second at $1.24 million and Google at “just” $626,000.

The console manufacturer employs 3,000 full-time staff within the company, and outsources much of its hardware and software production to lower costs. Despite the substantial profits per head, employees on average earn $91,000 annually, compared to those working at Goldman Sachs earning an average of $660,000 each.
