ATI's next big thing this fall

ATI Technologies Inc. president David Orton said on Wednesday he expects the graphics chip maker to return to growth this fiscal year and next, boosted by sales for devices such as mobile phones and digital TVs.

Orton also said ATI will fire its next salvo in the ongoing battle with rival Nvidia Corp. this fall when it launches its newest high-end graphics chip, one it hopes will overshadow Nvidia's recently launched GeForce FX 5900 Ultra.
