Thailand's Information and Communications Technology Ministry has rolled out a plan to increase computer ownership in that nation and has partnered with HP to offer low-cost Linux laptops which just started selling last week.

Though no further details have been uncovered, it's known that the government is subsidizing the cost of the hardware, so it would seem like a win-win situation... thing is, demand for the Linux notebook has been so high that other companies may have to be brought in, Dell could be joining HP in this deal.
