EU giving big subsidies to AMD, Infineon

A report on the c't news wire said that Infineon and AMD are to gain big amounts of money from the European Union to help them continue their joint development in Dresden, Germany.

The German language story says that the EU will approve a loan of €100 million today, which amounts to around a quarter of the total outlay.
