Audigy LS, for the masses

Creative Europe sent us a press release today, announcing the launch of the Sound Blaster Audigy LS internal sound card.
Available from October and costing £59.99inc VAT, the Audigy LS seems to be going after the value sector. We still have to confirm how this board compares exactly to older Audigy's and the new ZS line.

What we can tell for now is that Creative doesn't seem to be pushing fancy, higher-end (and often unused) features such as 6.1 or DVD Audio with the LS, but this looks to be more of a product relaunch on the mainstream, same 24-bit/96kHz recording, in addition to 5.1 surround sound, Dolby Digital and EAX Advanced HD (EAX 3.0).
