Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB

The Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti 16GB doubles down on VRAM but has the same underlying specs as its 8GB sibling. The extra memory helps in select cases, but most users would be better off opting for a GPU with a wider memory bus and 12GB instead of the 128-bit bus and 16GB, even if it costs more.

I do wonder why NVIDIA had so little love to share for this 16 GB version. It would have been easy for them to enable more shaders, use faster memory, or even switch to GDDR6X memory. I guess the strategy here is that a significant percentage of their customer base will think "16 GB is twice as much as 8 GB," and that "+$100 for future-proofing" could be a reasonable upgrade over the base RTX 4060 Ti, without spending +$200 for the RTX 4070.

Lo único que podemos decir sobre la Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti 16GB es que es el modelo que sencillamente debería haberse lanzado la principio. Ya tenemos una RTX 2060 de 12GB, una RTX 3060 de 12GB, o la RTX 3060 Ti también de 12GB, entonces ¿para qué lanzar un modelo de 8 GB siendo perfectamente conscientes de que lo lógico y necesario son a 12 o 16 GB? Pero lo peor de todo es que le ha subido un 30% el precio cuando los chips GDDR6 están literalmente por los suelos ($27 los 8 GB). En resumen es lógico subir su VRAM, pero no a este precio de 580€, si bajara a 370€, estaríamos ante una gran opción.
