Before the dot com bubble, and years before blogs were even called blogs, it was 1998 and I found myself spending countless hours playing with computers and on the Web (something that hasn't changed to this date, obviously). So, I decided to create a personal website related to computer technology. One thing lead to another, and after years of hard work, hundreds of articles, and millions of visitors later, TechSpot evolved into a full-time publication boosted by the participation of thousands of PC enthusiasts.

On a more personal note, I hold a Master's degree in Management Information Systems and a B.S. in MIS and Entrepreneurship. When I'm not working on TechSpot, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter, family and close friends, as well as traveling on ocassion. Besides technology I'm also passionate about cars and sports. I like playing and watching anything tennis, soccer and football as well. Catch up with me on the TechSpot Blog or Twitter.

Computers have been my hobby and work for some time now, ever since I got my first computer, a Macintosh Color Classic (circa 1993). It only made sense for me to study Information Systems. On a personal level, when I am not sitting in front of a monitor I enjoy spending time with friends, playing soccer, traveling (although I don't get the chance so often), and lately playing with a Canon EOS DSLR camera while learning a thing or two about digital photography.

As a Business Management major I may not go as deep into computer hardware as some of my fellow editors, but I do love the thrill of a good multiplayer matchup. I have done some computer programming back in the day with Julio, we are good friends and go way back. I am an outdoors person, I like going out fishing on weekends, enjoy playing soccer and going to the beach, hanging out with friends, watching TV or going to the movies.

I live in Sweden and have been into computing for as long as I can remember. I devote most of my time keeping track of the latest hardware and writing about it here on TechSpot. I also enjoy a good game for relaxation. When I'm not at my computer I'm working as a mechanic for my friend Andreas who rides a 250cc road racing motorcycle in the European Championship, so if you ever want to meet me in real life, go to the closest racetrack to you when the EC in 250cc runs and buy me a beer ;-).

A lifetime of traveling from city to city and state to state gave me a lot of time to figure things out on my own - especially computers. I am fascinated with tinkering and taking apart everything I own to find out how it works. This had led me to pursue Computer Science and Electrical Engineering in school. When I am not sticking a screwdriver into a computer, I'm living alone and enjoying the serenity of the nearby beaches and rivers, as well as writing, swimming, and running. I often rebuild old computers to donate to friends and family. On the technical side of things, I am an avid Linux and OSS supporter, and am big into overclocking/modifying older hardware to give it more life. I code in C++ and some x86 Assembler, and I maintain a page for satire and send-up commentary. My dreams are to go into DSP (Digital Signal Processor) design and having my written works published.

During my late high school years I discovered gaming on computers and by the time I finished school in 2001 it was clear my future would lay within the industry. Before I became interested in computer hardware I was somewhat addicted to online strategy gaming. This addiction also got me involved with website design as I was interested in the Internet and how it worked. Being a hands-on technical person I soon moved away from games and developed an interest for the hardware that ran and made the game possible. Today I am still just as enthusiastic about computer hardware and I really enjoy how it is ever evolving. When I am not playing with computer hardware I enjoy fishing, driving and playing sports.

I have been interested in computers and technology in general for as long as I can remember. I received my first computer as a Christmas gift in 1998 and got into case modding and overclocking shortly thereafter. Aside from writing for TechSpot, I operate my own tech site and a personal blog. While away from the computer, I enjoy cars (mostly drag racing), hockey, good music, MMA and just hanging out with friends.
My motto - Do what you love and love what you do!

Although I have no formal background or education in IT, most of my knowledge stems from industry related publications, with my experience being the result of excessive curiosity and trial and error. In addition to writing here at TechSpot, I repair computers locally as a freelance repair technician. Outside the realm of technology and work, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and our dog, as well as the occasional video game.
