I just bought a brand-new hard drive for use as added storage, but when I plugged everything in, the mobo never even detected it. I'm not using it in a RAID config, as my other hd is an IDE drive. I simply wanted to use it as a booster to my hd space.
It's a Western Digital, WD Caviar SE16, 320Gb, SATA 300 drive. As I stated before, I plugged everything in, even tried all four SATA ports on the mobo, and nothing - it doesn't even show up in the Bios.
Any suggestions? Or do I have to return my new hd?
