1394 plug into mobo?

  1. I bought a mobo socket 478. The case I bought has a firewire plug. The mobo has 2 places to plug usb in. Does the firewire plug into a spot for the usb on the mobo? I do not see any markings for a 1394 plug. Thank you Kirk

1394 is firewire not usb!! They are 2 very different technologies!!

A firewire plug should only ever be plugged into a firewire port!!

If your mobo doesn't have a firewire port then it doesn't support it!!!!

Depends on the motherboard. What motherboard do you have?

In that case, for $0.99 you can pick up this card and connect the wires to its 1 internal.
