26 hi def lcd

Hi all, I have just bought the lcd mentioned, ive got an ati x700 pro pcie, tft 17 monitor and they work fine, then plugged in the hi def lcd 26er with dvi to hdmi and they comp goes bannanas, it flickers on and off both screens n the resolution messes up.

I know someone must know the answer, please help me

ps im sure this configuration works as i read a forum somewhere and this geezer had they exact same model tv and lead, he had a pic too
