2GB Dual Channel Geil RAM Issue

I just installed 2 X 1 GB sticks into my computer (Gateway - Intel - P4 3.0 GHz - Radeon X700 Pro) and everything seems faster and Everquest 2 definetely runs better at a higher resolution setting but turning my computer on takes twice as long without the new memory. I put the old memory back in and had no problems and everything was back to normal. Now this is just a minor problem but I like fast!!! Please help...

when you added more memory, startup will check the memory. If you want, turn off memory check at startup in BIOS also known as quickboot.
