2gb mini SD card w/ CRAZY Information

I purchased a mini SD card that has a file system loaded on it that prevents any format, I can not clear the card for reformating. it may have been in a pda at some point but the guy says it should be new. I tried to insert in my pda and all kind of strange stuff happens to the functionablity of the pda. I can add information but nerver remove any of it. I did try to format and the bar graft completed format to a RAW state but now it will not allow it to be reformatted in fat, the file stuctures are still there and viewable. one file has like wing ding letters so I assume it maybe a propriatary OS or information.
I would like to reformat this card please...HELP

Able to delete and enter info

Well I can enter information and delete only what I put on the card. the information that is enbedded on the card can not be removed, I sure wish I could use a program to see or use the info that came with the card...could be something usefull?

whats the brand of it, and did you buy it second hand or in a brand new/sealed plastic box?

look for any sort of encryption program, and also maybe a "lock" slider on it. try doing the windows 98 format trick.

BCWipe did crash on wipe

It seems there is a system file on the card that prevents format of the card, BCWipe 3.0 can not format this mini sd card, xp can write and remove to the card, but what ever is on this card will never be removed to free the space it uses. no the card came to me in a plastic case, not wraped...the used space is about 742 meg ...WOW

what is the brand of it? maybe take it up with the manufacturer and see what they have to say about it... or you can try take it back to the person you bought it off and say you're having troubles with it..

i purchaise for one boy. ... this card is new ... i take it today... i try to pur some mp3 .... it`s work... but... in 40 min aprox. mp3`s hidden but my memory is full... i can`t delete... i see the card was no anny files... anny program for reformat ? sorry i am romanian and i dont know english....

It's okay, I understand. There is some space on these cards set for other things that are needed for you use the card. So they have to be there. 2GB with only 40mins of MP3. You could reduce the bit rate down since the larger the bit rate the more space the MP3 takes. 192bit is the min I would go though. 128bit doesn't sound so good. 320bit MP3 sounds the best but they are larger files. You should be able to get 1 hr worths of songs on 2GB, but it might be less for you though?

uhhhhhhh sorry i dont unde3rstand nothing... so... i buy this card... and i put isome mp3 ... some... 136 mb exactly... in 40 min aprox. this mp3`s hidden... i try to Delete "storage Card" but i don`t successful... now my card is "free" but 136 for the card is taken.... i have nothing in card but 136 mb is taken.... you understand now ?

About 500 songs can fit in a 2gb card.
It's possible to get around 1000 if you compress your music correctly.
