Anyone heard of this pgm? ZoneAlarm says that it is trying to get access. Accidentally said ok and now my desktop is filled with promotional deals in addition to my start page changing. Tried to delete same - no way. Ran Ad-Aware, SpyBot, HiJackThis, CWS, etc....no help. Thanks.

Yes you`re infected with a trojan downloader.
Look HERE for an explanation and removal instructions.
Also may I suggest that you go HERE and follow the instructions carefully. Print them out if you can. This is just in case you have any other nasties lurking around.
Once you have done that, go HERE for instructions on how to post your Hijackthis log.
