6800GT can't play movies, help please!

New computer (specs in signature).

I can play games like HL2 and DOOM3 no problem, so I know the card works, but anytime I go to watch a movie the picture is complete crap. Very bright, and pixelated.

I have tried DVDs, downloaded mpeg movies, as well as playing from DVD drive and Hard drive. Makes no difference, the picture is garbage.

Any ideas what it could be?

I had this problem a while back and it was a driver problem. The 77.76 drivers are supposed to fix this.

But, the way I fixed it several drivers ago, was to go to the nVidia control panel, "Color Correction", "Apply Color Changes to", and in the first dropdown box below, change it from "Desktop" to "All". That fixed the problem for me. Hope this helps.
