8gb Memory?

Friend At Work Said The Other Day That He Has A Comp At Home With 8gb Of Memory In It. I Think He Was Just Making It Up, Is This At All Possible? I Haven't Seen Any Mobo To Support This Much.

it is possible but not with a 32bit operating system.
