Acer LCD monitor color problem

Hi Guys
I've just bought an Acer LCD 17" monitor but it seems there is a problem with the color especially GRAY. I can't see the vertical gridlines on microsoft excel and the Grey letters (inactive tools) in the dropdown box or dialog box cannot be seen.

I have already installed the monitor driver. am running with windows XP.

Please help me... Thanks a lot

Mess around with some of the settings on the monitor itself.

Or u maybe changed the settings on ur other montior of the GFX Card setting(colors)?? set it as default and see if sumthin happens,
