I am running OS ME, and when I turned on my computer this morning, all of my icons where gone on my desktop except my computer, IE, Trash, and Network neighborhoood.

WHen I try to open any program, like my computer, the page remains blank and it says "your current security setting prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly."

The MY Computer page remains blank. When I try to open IE 5.5, nothing open. IN my properties (left clicking) the homepage is "??G" and I can't change it. Any ideas?

    thanks

sounds like spyware(at least the hijacked homepage part) and possibly a virus or other malware.
