I am trying to upgrade my video card, I was reading your advice on a previous thread about the steps involved in the upgrading and it turns out I was leaving out a step Hooking the 4pin power connector My question is where do I go to buy the 4pin connector(it wasn't included with the card) and where exactly do I do the hooking up at

Video card is : PNY FX5500 PCI 128MB

My PC is an EMachines T2460 512MB memory and I've already upgraded the power supply unit from 250 to 400

Thanks For Your Help

Thanks for your reply honvetops

Well darn I was hoping that connector was why the card doesn't want to work on my pc.

Could it be the card is not compatible with my pc ?

Video card is : PNY FX5500 PCI 128MB

and if it isn't compatible what card would be a better choice?

Thanks Again

You didn't say so.....

Did you go into the BIOS and enable external graphics? Did you install the drivers? (You didn't say)

Actually I have a NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 VGA card in my pc right now and I had no problems when I installed that, I already had to disable onboard graphics when I installed the GeForce2 card

I did not go into bios though

I must be leaving out a step somewhere

Thanks for helping me try and figure this out
