AHH. Laptop shuts off when i move screen

    my laptop..
    HP? PIII originally with windows 98
    upgraded to XP.

    shuts off if i so much as move the screen...

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

    It sounds to me that you have somekind of short between your computer and your display.

    I would suggest that you take it back if it`s still under warranty otherwise it will need to be repaired by someone who is qualified to do so.
