Hey I did it. Yeah I am an *****. I opened the link that someone sent me on aim. It said something like Hey! Can I post these pictures of you and me on myspace (link). I saved the file and it read image.33 It then downloaded on my computer.

Now this virus is supposly telling me I have other virus on my computer and is telling me to download their software to delete them. I ran Ad-aware and spybot but they both came up with no result.

My ctr-alt-del is running so many procces I can't descide which ones to end and I have a huge paper to write which near impossible when I have to cancel out of this stuff every couple of seconds.

It also downloaded something called security toobar on my browser. Please help me and quickly.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as Attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the Panda Antirootkit scan.
