Amazon's commingled inventory

One of the most interesting posts I've seen on Reddit in a long time, explaining why so many products on Amazon have reviews saying customers received counterfeit goods, even those sold & shipped by Amazon.

I think this ends my two decade long use of Amazon as a primary vendor, which is scary because I live on an island and it's not as if I have a ton of other great options to turn to.

True, if your only damages were the money lost from purchasing the product. If you experience a rash, allergic reaction, or have some other sort of incidental damages, then of course this is not true.

I think this is quite the overstatement.
