    I have a Amd athlon 2800+

    I have a gigabyte GA-7N400SL Motherboard

I had to reset my bios to get rid of a password, when I reset it my computers cpu default was 133 which is 1.6 ghz,so I set it up to 2.7 166 and now i has a problem at 2.07 when that is its original speed.

when I try to open a game I get this error
''Switching to the reference raterizer, a software device that implements the entire Direct 3D feature set,but runs very slowly''

under the error another tab says

'' Warning Nothing wlil be rendered. The reference rendering device was selected, but your computer only has a reduced functionality reference device installed.Installed Direct x SDK to get the full reference device.

I have Diect X installed 9.0 so Im not sure what to do plz help me.

So set it back to 166 and be happy it works... Your motherboard or it's attached components might not let you do any better

But when I set it back to 16 it doesnt load certain programs like 3d thigns that why the games won work I think,so I need to know what is causing this.
