AMD GPU users reportedly can't see the sun on any of Starfield's planets

Experienced this on a 6950XT, almost looks like the same planet in the picture. I was walking around and noticed the direction of the lighting and looked up to look for the star, but it wasn't where it should've been. I figured it was a bug.

Likely one of the ways the sabotaged Nvidia gpu performance by not rendering a big part of the game.
Really shameful.
Rather than making better innovating products/features they just want to sabotage nvidia's superior tech.

Imagine if one team is not rendering a few extra potatoes and stars to have an advantage in 1st day benchmarks oh look at these performances figures 🤣.

Hmmmm....weird been playing this on an AMD card and have seen the sun out during daytime every time it was supposed to be in the sky. Either the guy's system is not configured properly, or they are just trying to make some headlines with fake news. Of course, the internet eats this type of crap up like breakfast cereal. I have probably 20 -30 hours in the game so far and have been to many places and if it is day out the sun is there and spreading light as it shoould be doing.
Never heard of an improper configuration that could specifically delete the sun in a game. Also, apparently this "fake news" has been proven true by hundreds, if not thousands, of AMD gpu owners.

And seriously, let's put this trite "fake news" saying out to pasture. Regurgitating Trump-isms is not a good look for anyone.

When talking about misconfigured systems I was talking about driver or OC settings causing problems. Most times when a game or software crashes it is most times a system that has bugs in it or a virus or old drivers and sometimes juts out right over clocked to far and not stable. Yes there are also those times when a game engine or software will crash because of just bad code.

I have played this game for many hours and my system is very over clocked and this game has not crashed once and has ran smoothly on my system.

The term fake news was out a very long time before Mr Clump started using it. So when I refer to the term Fake News it has nothing to do with Clump. Sometimes the words we use were invented or used for a very long time before some ***** in a red hat started spewing his garbage every chance he can get.

As I said in this case at least I know form my own finding this game runs just fine and I am one of the lucky ones to have a sun that actually works on my AMD card. To bad though I have to turn SMT off to raise the FPS 20-30 fps gain which for me is a deal breaker as I do not like having to disable performance options on my CPU just to run a game that is supposed to be an AMD sponsored game. Let hope a patch comes out and fixes any issues people are having with the game. But for a lot of those having crashes in this game and probably a lot of other games I will say they probably should check their systems over and have them cleaned of bugs (Malware & viruses) and dust & if overclocking turn off all OC settings. Run everything at stock including the GPU try the game again or which ever game they are having problems with and I bet most times the crashing will stop.

Now that they have a baseline to go off of over clock one piece of hardware at a time until the crashing starts again. Now that they know which hardware is at fault they have somewhere to start tinkering. Better that than coming onto the internet crying at every company for making bad software and they suck because of that.

The fact that someone picked up on that part just made my day 😂 thanks!

I have an unproven theory from my own childhood experience. I was taught that the roll was placed so the paper came from the bottom, not the top. I think it was to reduce the amount of paper us kids pulled since the weight of the roll over the paper created more resistance. Why was that important? Well we were poor as f*ck and were pinching every penny. Generic Tang and powdered milk, both watered down to last longer. Hell everything was generic and sometimes we still barely made it to the end of the month. So yeah... that...

And why is anyone surprised? It is a Bethesda game. How many have they released that didn't have strange often funny bugs? Anyone? Yeah... none AFAIK. I often think they see things like this as a feature, easter egg, or some other type of bonus for the players.

What does the term fake news have to do with "Trump-isms" ?? they have existed since news were invented.
On another note, yesterday when I was walking out on a planet similar to this screenshot, I was wondering why there is such a strong light coming down the rocky planet, but all I could see were some cluster of stars on the skybox.
