Either way, the way that the pc industry is moving towards ever-increasing power usage for components is both bad for the environment but also bad for consumers. When the components uses more power, and the performance is limited the moment the cpu/gpu hits a set temperature limit, the consumer or system builder has to know enough about airflow and cooling to keep the system thermally cooled and keep the performance as the manufacturers claim and what is shown on review sites.
Not to mention that these systems are reaching points where they heat up your room so much that you need to consider how to deal with this too if you want to be comfortable.
