Amd vs amd xp

i know this might be a sillt question but i want to buy a game called call of duty 2. yet on the back of the box it says it nreds an AMD XP 1700+. but i have an AMD (NO XP) +3500 SO is there any diffrence between the xp version and the non xp version? thanks for any help x

Yes, you will be more than fine.

You probably have an Athlon 64 3500+, which is the next generation and much faster than an AMD Athlon XP 1700+.

It's kind of like a games that requires a 1GHz Pentium 3, but a 3GHz Pentium 4 will work better.
