Another hard drive problem

I think this one's dead, but I'll take an opinion.
Windows doesn't detect it, the driver for it is installed. Windows detected it, has an error and can't install it's driver... yet the driver is already there.
It makes a cicada sound and then stops... Not sure if it's trying to read or what. It's an old WD Passport. 320 gig
 
Clanking sounds means it's duff (bad) replace it or if you want to try to see if you can get it work and to pull off files. The old freezer in the ziplock bag with a folded paper towel should do the trick. 3 hrs in a freezer then thaw it (but even while thawing the device) it can still work. What do you have to loose?

Not too much to lose really.... Just an easier way to install one of my games and some old pictures I ended up saving to a thumb drive... Somehow.
