Apple Mac App Store goes live with more than 1,000 apps

    As planned, Apple has officially opened the doors of its Mac App Store today with around 1,000 free and paid apps. The store will be available to Snow Leopard users only through the Mac OS X 10.6.6 update, which you can get right now either by using the Mac’s built-in Software Update or via a download from Apple’s Website.

  3. Another brilliant platform of monetisation by Apple. Another way we can all purchase Angry Birds again.

    Truly, they could sell a cardboard box as though it were 'hip'.
