Apple's M1 Max chipset shows its teeth in PugetBench for Premiere Pro

Well some benchmarks are in and their performance claims seem to be exclusive to their own software, elsewhere a Max manages to edge out a laptop 3060 and it's comfortably behind anything like a 3080 laptop.

Battery does seem to hold on but I haven't seen too many battery tests for it yet specially at full tilt but as expected: it ain't magic. It's just a well done ARM soc with inherent advantages when it comes to power because of that unified memory architecture and many of the specialized cores Apple includes in it's chips but if you can live with plugging your laptop say during your lunch break, PCs will match the M1 Max at a fraction of the cost, just not as power-efficiently.
