To help you visualize how she can change direction of rotation, I reproduce 4 frames in the correct sequence, though leaving out a few between them for simplicity.

First imagine that the raised leg is her left, which is near you. She is then rotating anti-clockwise.

Now imagine that the raised leg is her right, which is away from you, while the standing left leg is near you. She is now rotating clockwise.
