Spent about $200 for this router and it failed within the warranty period. I called ASUS tech support and was on the phone with them for over an hour and they concluded that the router had a hardware problem. Tech support offered to repair the router but I had to ship it to them and they could not provide me with a temporary or permanent replacement. ASUS does not offer the option to provide replacement hardware when their equipment fails during the warranty period. It could take up to two weeks for me to receive the repaired unit (with no Wi-Fi available). RIDICULOUS since the problem is with their hardware and they could not even send me a rebuilt unit. I ended up throwing it away. recommend that before you buy ASUS you check their warranty provisions. Would never buy another ASUS product.
