For a while now, my ASUS K55VD laptop (purchased early 2013) has only been running on AC power. When I try starting it on battery it won't turn on, and when I unplug the charger when it's running it switches off instantly. I have already replaced the battery, to no avail.
I suspect the problem is in the charging circuitry of the laptop, as there was an incident involving the laptop and a glass of liquid sometime before the problem started. My question is if it is possible to narrow the probable cause down to something that I can label/point to, and what the feasibility is of having it repaired (also considering the age of the laptop).
