Asus Laptop problems

Hello guys , as you see im a newbie here on the site,
I have 2 problems with my laptop,

1 the mouse pad only works when windows is booting once the boots stop it stop the cursor also im using it with an external mouse wich i dont get used to it...

2 the pc only recahrge battery when its on , off doesnt work the recharging cycle...


any help will be appreciate!!!

As far as the mouse pad or touch pad problem, make sure you have the latest Synaptics drivers. I'm using 8.1.2.0 with a date of 8/1/05 They work great and have all types of settings and with the config. that I'm using I don't mind using the pad over a mouse.

You cannot use both at one time on most laptops...it's one or the other.

i know that im using the external couse the mouse pad didnt work...

does anyone knows about the charging problem?

That battery could be on it's last legs...how old is the machine ? ?
