Atari said a couple of months back that it was preparing to release a bundle consisting of 100 of its most popular games on Steam. The Atari Vault, as the bundle is called, is now available for purchase through Valve's digital distribution platform.

The bundle includes familiar hits from the '70s and '80s including Atari 2600 and arcade versions of Asteroids, Centipede, Crystal Castles, Gravitar, Missile Command and Tempest. You'll also get RealSports Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Football, Soccer, Tennis and Volleyball in addition to Video Cube, Video Olympics and Video Pinball. For the full list of included games, check out the bundle's listing over on Steam.

The Steam listing also notes that select games now feature online multiplayer so you'll be able to compete against others and utilize Steam Leaderboards to record high scores.

Pricing is set at $19.99 although Valve is offering 15 percent off the regular retail price through March 31, bringing the total down to just $16.99. As of writing, there are five reviews for the bundle, all of which are filled to the brim with praise.

Do note that Atari Vault is only compatible with Windows PCs running Windows 7 or newer.

Do each of these games show up individually in the Steam game library? Because I definitely won't buy it if it contributes to list clutter.

Total space required for a hundred 80's games: ~ 1MB;
Total space required for an interface to launch the games in 2016: ~1GB.

Can't wait to see how much space is required for 100 modern games in 30 years time! :)

I'm guessing 1TB but we will have 5 PB drives so we will be ok.
