Audio Controller is not operating because the driver is not installed-Code 28.

Greetings to all,

I'm operating Windows XP and installed Audigy Sound Blaster and driver from Audigy online, but still no sound. I went to Control Panel > Add Hardware. The panel says that my Multimedia Audio Controller is not operating because the driver is not installed-Code 28. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Try reinstalling the chipset driver off your motherboard cd and then reboot...then reinstall the audio driver and reboot...that should solve your problem

I had the same problem. The only way I got it to work was to buy a CD from Creative then it worked OK.
