1.35 Ghz AMD Duron
256 MB RAM
15.4 GB hard disk
31.1 GB hard disk
When i first had ordered the computer off of ebay, and hooked it up, the speakers worked fine. That computer is toast. I took out the fried motherboard and got an exact replacement. Everything is running good, except now the speakers wont work.
Under Device Manager, at first, all the codecs under Games and Multimedia had a red X on them and i had to update the drivers or something. Yet another one, under Other, is a yellow question mark with an exclamation point. Its the Audio/Multimedia Controller, and i tried to reinstall the drivers but it couldnt find any.
my speakers are brand new, and are hooked up properly and all that jazz. What steps can i take to make my PC recognize this device?
is it a hardware or software problem? I can't tell.
