Receiving access denied errors when restoring emails that were backup to tape using Backup Exec 11d. The error states is "access denied to directory user. Top of Information Store. Inbox.

The account I am using are members of the following group:

    1. administrator

    2. Domain Admins

    3. Domain User

    4. Enterprise Admins

    5. Exchange Admins

    6. Exchange Domain Servers

    7. Exchange Services.

    Anti Virus software turned off.

It also has Exchange Full Administrator privileges and not hidden from GAL

    Why is this not working?

the restore should be executed from either
    • the Backup Operator group user
    • or the Admin login
the user IDs of the target inboxes don't matter at all

The restore job is being executed from the domain administrator account which I use to log on to the backup server and also which was used to create the backup.
