Best free antivirus software

    I have been told many times over that zone alarm is the best for a free firewall.
    Is there a "hands-down" best anti-virus program? I like the ones that don't eat up a lot of RAM. Or pester you constantly. I really like ZA...

    Avira Antivir just released their new Personal Edition, it includes a heuristic and some other nice features, while still being the lightest on resources that I have seen = you can read what I already wrote about it, and some of the installation time settings HERE


    Avast! also has a very good product
