bios not detecting sata hdd

    just built a computer and it's not detecting my sata hard drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm really frustrated

    pc specs

    asus a8n sli motherboard
    1 gb ram
    western digital 120 gb sata hdd
    amd athon 64 3500

    did you install the drivers?

    As Tedster said, when you install Windows it will have an option for you to install 3rd party sata drivers.

    Set the boot SATA drive to SCSI in the bios...
