  1. i get a password on boot up. i dont have a service tag number (or cant find it) and it wont boot from anything but the harddrive. tryed to remove the battery with no sucess.

    i cannot find pins like on a desktop but im use to desktop

    there is some sodered pins that might be them but i dont know

    hi xreigninflame and welcome to Techspot :)

    I'm not really sure what your question is, but it looks to me like you have a dell notebook with a BIOS password that you forgot (or don't know)... is that correct?

    i cannot log on to my computer because i do not have the bios password

    i dont really have the system specs because its my girlfriends

    is there some genreic master passwords for the bios that i can use?

    there is no "generic master password".

    you can try the password generator found on Paragon's website but you need to know your service tag (the original service tag should be printed on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop)

    otherwise, you will need to try the "paperclip method" which can also be found on Paragon's webiste
