BitDefender antivirus and malware disables itself and PC freezes

my runs perfectly I mostly use my computer to play video games and internet,but since last I reinstalled windows 7 x64(was using the same version before) occasionally malware anti malware bytes and bitdefender antivirus stop working and my pc freezez and i am not able to access control panel or shut my pc down or anything i have to forcefully shut my pc and when i restart it everything works fine.please let me know if I can provide anything else regarding my problem,its my first post on this forum so please forgive me for any inconsistency in my question.thanks in advance.and i will be waiting eagerly for a reply.

Your (C)hard drive may be dying...

Maybe but what makes you think that although it maybe as my harddisk on which the os is installed is pretty old,is there a way double check that my harddisk is indeed dying,thanks for the quick reply.

Go to Computer, right-click on the C drive, select Properties, Tools, check now. Place a check mark in both boxes and select "disk check upon next start up". Shut down the computer and start it up. Let the disk check run

alright i did the scan just as you told me and and it showed 0 kb in bad sectors anything else yo want me to check as i cants post logs just yet.thanks again.and sorry for the late reply.

it has happened again but my web browser is working but the bitdefender icon besides the sound and other icons is blacked out as always and says"bitdefender services please restart the computer and if the problem persists then contact bitdefender support" but this time it happened quite early after last time,malware bytes hasnt closed down but then again i cant access the program either,i'm thinking of uninstalling bitdefender,please somebody advice me on what i should do.waiting eagerly for rrply thanks in advance.

Remove Bitdefender and try Microsoft Security Essentials:
