Black screen before bios

Hi I've had this computer for about half a year now I got it second and the only thing that has changed since I got it was a new hard drive and extra ram that was ages ago it was working fine till yesterday I was doing some general cleaning but after putting the computer back together it boots directly to a black screen with a frozen cursor in a weird resolution so far I have tried
Disconnecting everything taking it all apart re cleaning it then putting it back together
Booting whilst only using 2 ram slots
Putting the GPU in a different pcie

Sounds like something is loose. GPU card? Check all connections. Re-seat. Look closely (bright light).

Try getting into the boot menu if it is not possible then there is some hardware failure.
