BLUE SCREEN WHILE INSTALLING WINDOWS XP!! ntfs.sys...win2k.sys FILES!

I get a blue screen when I try to install windows xp. This is a brand new system that I built. ASUS K8V SE Deluxe motherboard with an AMD 64 3000+ CPU and 1 GB PTP Patriot 3200 Memory, 160 GB 7200 RPM SATA Maxtor HD, ATI 9200 128MB Video Card. I have put in an IDE drive to test the HD and it did the same thing. So it isn't the HD. I haven't tried testing the memory yet, but I will soon. ANY IDEAS??? THANKS!

Fixed!!!!!!

I put the mother board cd in and it boot off of it and then it flashed the bios to and earlier version. THE COMPUTER WORKS GREAT!!!! BAD BIOS!!! Sorry I stumped everyone! Thanks for looking anyway!
