Boy, my business email inbox must be a beta site for spammers. Either that, or it takes websense and other such monitors quite a while to verify and report these things. I have been seeing the phony CNN and MSNBC emails for weeks now...

Didn't intend this as "Flash -- breaking news" but rather to inform that these things are
getting very sophisticated and even scam well known publishers.

Just got another notice of a similar ruse on FedEx.

Actually, if you want to see sophisticated phishing and other such scams, just set up an online ecommerce business with technology products (much like my network and PC cable business.) That will open you up to the 'one of a kind' scammers who research your site, your products, your company and then pass themselves off as legitimate corporate buyers who email RFQ's, fax information to you, etc. We have gotten pretty good at picking them off, but they are also very, very good at what they do. The CNN/MSNBC/FEDEX stuff is amateurish in comparison.
