ok. i went to a computer store because my somp made a very loud buzzing noise and it was almost at 170 degrees F. so they told me to get a new motherboard, reinstalled xp, and got home, it worked perfectly! but now...3 weeks later, its back! i dont know what to do because its a brand new MB...any help?

Case?

Did you install the motherboard on the same case? Maybe you just need some case fans to cool the processor. Generally two case fans are requested.

same everything...new motherboard. hd's are the same cd drives, video cards sound cards...nothing has changed except for the MB. i was at the store and i spent $15 on it...$60 for the MB and $55 for install so it shud be installed right, they said thats all i needed!!!!...?!??!?!?

Well... I guess you don't have the fans right? Maybe it is something more though... maybe the heat sink is not installed correctly.. when you first boot what temperature does the BIOS indicates?

I suppose that you are reading the core temperature right? You should install two case fans first and see if the temp drop is enough. The other solution might be to buy another fan for your processor. Cooler Master and Thermal Take have good-affordable ones.

mmmm in fact it may make it louder... hehe. The fans must be there to cool down the processor. Have you seen where exactly the noise is coming from? It may even be that the power source is not firmly attached.

Well.. it's hard to tell. You must see where the noice is exactly coming from. Most of the time, I've seen that a buzzing sound is coming from the power source.
Did the buzzing sound stopped completely when you changed your motherboard?
