CamStudio - Really slow and cursor blinks

ok so i downloaded this "camstudio" that ive heard people talkin about cause im gonna make a video. when i record it goes really slow and the mouseblinks on and off so you cant see it and then you can etc... also when i type it goes really slow too. HELP i want to make my vid!!!!

Seriously.. what hardware are you running this on? Have you looked at the system requirements for Camstudio? Most video processing apps are RAM hogs, and like to have CPU and graphics cards to boot. Not to mention hard drive space. My, the hard drive space. My poor harddrive after editing a 30m show...

i looked up the requirements and it says there are none. its not a complicated program...
